Arisu, the hero of the series was dealt a difficult hand in the initial season. Arisu arrived initially with Korube, Chota and two other friends. They eventually gave up to give Arisu the best chance of success.

The season’s climax came during the ten of hearts game, where the residents of the beach had to correctly guess who the “Witch” was. Many competitors died in the chaos of the game. However, Arisu correctly predicted the identity of Momoka, after much infighting.
In the wake of Niragi burning the beach mansion to the ground, the competitors placed the witch’s body on a bonfire and thus completed the game.
Arisu, Usagi discovered then that Momoka was not a competitor and Asahi was actually a dealer. Dealers were responsible for sabotage of games to obtain visas. Thanks to the evidence on Momoka’s phone, Arisu and Usagi were able to locate the underground control room, but who they perceived to be as the gamemasters had been killed.

Mira, a woman appears in the last moments of the screen and informs everyone that games are just beginning. She invites all participants to participate in the next phase. When they returned to the surface, competitors were shocked to see blimps flying through Tokyo holding cards.
Arisu, Usagi still have many more games to conquer before they are able to escape. If they are to solve the mysteries surrounding the world and the identity of the gamemasters, the pair must continue playing the games.
