‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 14 Coming to Netflix Weekly in UK

Netflix UK will once again be getting weekly episodes of the popular NBC talent show, America’s Got Talent. Season 14 will begin on NBC starting May 28, 2019, and Netflix UK will soon follow suit.

It’s not uncommon for Netflix UK to get exclusives from the US with weekly episodes. Many cases have occurred in the past with Riverdale, Black Lightning and Better Call Saul all receiving weekly episodes on Netflix UK.

America’s Got Talent is a talent show that was imported from the UK which premiered Britains Got Talent all the way back in 2007. The format is very similar and it airs on NBC. The auditions begin, then the live final shows are where the audience votes for the winner.

It’s not the first time Netflix in the United Kingdom has managed to pick up the talent show either. It was the first year that it secured weekly rights for season 13 last year. It also got America’s Got Talent: The Champions earlier this year and even picked up American Idol too.

Two days following their US debut, new episodes arrive. That means episode one of America’s Got Talent season 14 airs on NBC on May 28th before arriving on Netflix on May 30th. It’ll be made available at roughly 8 AM BST.

The new season 14 host replaces Tyra Banks, who was the presenter for seasons 12-13. Terry Crews who’s mostly known for his role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine at the moment is taking over the post.

The judges this season includes Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union who replaces Mel B and Julianne Hough who’s replacing Heidi Klum. Jay Leno and Brad Paisley are guest judges, as is Ellie Kemper and Dwayne Wade.
