Are Seasons 1-2 of ‘American Gods’ on Netflix?

American Gods is one of Starz biggest shows at the moment and with season 2 now airing, let’s take a look to see if the series is streaming on Netflix anywhere in the world and if you can’t, where you can stream American Gods instead.

This series is about ancient and forgotten gods fighting against new gods. Based on Neil Gaiman's novel, the series was created. It has a clean visual style that is complimented by an amazing cast, including Ricky Whittle and Crispin Glover.

Starz aired the first season in 2017, and is wrapping up with season two in April 2019.

American Gods will be available on Netflix USA in 2019

American Gods is currently not streaming Netflix, at least temporarily. Starz made an effort to drive their subscribers to their streaming service in the past, whether it was through their standalone application or their Amazon add-on. For the meantime, that’s how we’re expecting it to stay.

Netflix recently acquired the Outlander season 1 and 2 seasons. Season 5 will be available later in this year. Starz could add American Gods as a promotion tool to future seasons, and their streaming service. It’s a smart move but we’re not expecting to see anything until 2020 at the earliest.

The show's promotion and distribution in the United Kingdom is done exclusively by Amazon Prime. Amazon Prime is the only provider of the show in many countries outside the United States. Which means should Starz ever cancel the show, that’s the network to most likely take the reigns going forward.
