If you’re unfamiliar with the show, let’s bring you up to speed. This highly-regarded TV series, which debuted in 2016, is about a California family that lives extravagantly but is completely funded through less than pleasant means.

Jonathan Lisco, who was also involved in several other major series like Halt and Catch Fire and Southland. Ellen Barkin and Shawn Hatosy are among the stars. Ben Robson, Jake Weary, and Ben Robson also feature.

TNT aired the show in June 2016. It is now distributed by Warner Brothers Television.

Why Animal Kingdom isn’t on Netflix in the United States

As you’ve probably figured out by now, Animal Kingdom isn’t on Netflix in the US.

It was instead picked up by Amazon Prime exclusively in 2017 for streaming. New seasons have been released yearly with seasons dropping just before each new season’s premiere on TNT.

At this point, it’s hard to conceive Netflix getting Animal Kingdom. Most times, streaming services buy streaming rights for a show to keep it going. Put simply, so long as Animal Kingdom keeps getting made, it’ll be heading to Amazon Prime.

We believe the series may end up on HBO Max in the long-term.

Netflixers in the UK won't be able to access the show, just like Netflixers elsewhere. Amazon has also acquired the rights and the show is now only available through Amazon Prime.

What time will Animal Kingdom Season 5 be available on Netflix Canada and Australia?

Now we know that Animal Kingdom is now available in Australia and Canada, and that the Australians have the best Netflix deal.

Two days after the US broadcast date, new episodes are added to Netflix Australia. That’s the same again with season 5 which is getting new episodes every Monday.

Netflix Canada may have to hold off for the fifth season of Animal Kingdom. Seasons 5 of Animal Kingdom have been added to Netflix Canada each May. This means that season 5 will be available on Netflix Canada by May 2022.
