It’s been a year since the final season of NBC’s Blindspot wrapped up with its fifth season however recently has begun popping up on Netflix. Are seasons 1-5 available on Netflix in your area? Let’s take an updated look.
The show premiered in 2015. It was one of the most popular shows NBC has ever produced. The first season saw 10.8 million viewers, but it eventually dropped to a small number.
Martin Gero created the series and it aired for 100 episodes. The series stars Jaimie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton.
Since the show has wrapped, there’s been plenty of speculation about the show returning some form after an incredibly cryptic final episode.
Blindspot is now available in multiple regions. From 2016, some regions in Latin America received the new season of Blindspot every year. Unogs reports that the show is available to stream in Mexico, Brazil and Colombia as well as Argentina.
Netflix Canada was able to obtain full streaming rights for the show in June 2021, which could indicate that more Netflix regions will soon be available.
It is possible, but it's not yet certain.
Hulu is currently the streaming destination for Blindspot, with all five seasons. Hulu has received the series in both a catch up and full-length capacity.
As we’ve mentioned, the show is distributed by Warner Brothers Television. This means the rights to the show will eventually be reissued, a few years later than the final based on WB Television's previous titles.
Now, you would think that HBO Max is the primary home for any new WB TV show, however, that’s not always been the case (see Manifest for example).
Long story short, when the rights come up, it could go to Netflix but our thinking is eventually it’ll swap from Hulu over to HBO Max but we’ll keep you posted.
We’ll just touch on a couple of other regions.
Netflix UK isn’t streaming the show but Sky Witness (and NowTV) are streaming seasons 3-5 as of June 2021.
The show can only be viewed in Australia on 7Plus
