Dead End: Paranormal park's characters are incredibly varied, with Barney being transgender and Norma being neurodiverse.
Author, Hamish Steele had the following to say about his comics’ diversity:
“I’ve always dreamed of making the show I needed as a lonely, horror-obsessed closeted gay kid and thanks to Netflix and our ridiculously talented, diverse and representative writers room and crew, we have shot way past my dreams and into wildest fantasy territory!”
Netflix hasn’t confirmed the exact release date and it was expected that Dead End: Paranormal Park would be debuting in 2021. According to one interview, it would be released in fall 2021.
This was not to be. Instead, season 1 of Dead End Paranormal Park will premiere on Netflix in June 2022.
This trailer was released May 19, with the caption: "A glimpse into what you can expect."
“Meet Barney, his dog Pugsley (who can now walk and talk after an exorcism gone wrong– it’s a long story!), Norma and a thousand-year-old sardonic demon named Courtney who must work together to battle paranormal scares and maybe…just maybe, save the world!”
Netflix also released first glimpse screenshots for the Hamish Steele series.

On Twitter, Netflix announced the casting members who will play the DeadEndia characters.
Hamish Steele, a March 2022 actor, praised his cast via Twitter:
“At what point can you become one of those directors who only works with the same cast over and over again because I straight up wanna cast every Dead End actor again in whatever I make next. They’re just all so good”
As of the writing date, each comic will be covered in its respective season.
There are only 2 DeadEndia comics. That would mean there must be at most two seasons.
It is confirmed that two season upfront orders have been placed for the series.
We can speculate that Hamish Steele will publish more comic books.
