‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive’ Season 3: Netflix March 2021 Release & What We Know So Far

The popular F1 docu-series that takes a look back at the biggest stories of the F1 season will be back on Netflix for a third season on March 19th 2021, despite the fact that F1’s 2020 season was majorly disrupted.

F1: Drive to Survive is one of Netflix’s finest sports documentary series that sees film crews following each Formula 1 series around the world and then editing together a string of the top stories that occurred throughout the F1 season.

We learned of season two around the same time as this year, although for season 3, we haven’t heard from an official press statement rather than F1 insiders reporting that the Netflix film crews are once again on the track.

RaceFans reported first that Netflix crews were on track in July 2020. F1HQ confirmed it:

“Following on the strong results of the first two seasons of the Netflix show Drive to Survive the film crews are already at work filming the third season,”

F1 Season 3: What can you expect?

The biggest story going into the 2020 F1 story is the story that’s been dominating our lives since early 2020. F1 is one of the most affected sports by the global pandemic.

F1 had an extremely short season, with several races grouped together. Now, each team has been divided into social bubbles.

Expect large parts of this series to go towards Lewis Hamilton, who set new records by becoming the driver with most world championships.

The championship ranking will concentrate on the middle table, which was extremely competitive but Mercedes is still a long way away.

It is the 70th anniversary for Formula 1 at Silverstone, with its first race taking place in the UK on February 5, 1950.

Racing Point will be another story. They’ve been fined for using previous designs from Mercedes which was protested by Renault.

Netflix will release F1: Drive To Survive season 3 when it is available?

The arrival of new seasons has been so early this year.

The premiere of season one was in March 2019, while the second season arrived on Netflix in February 2020.

This means that we will be watching season 3 of Formula 1 Drive to Survive sometime between January 2021 and March 2021.

Lando Norris says the new season will drop in March 2021.

This was confirmed by Netflix UK, who confirms the release date as February 19, 2021.

Netflix has it. It's the weekend before season 2021 begins. There is no word yet on whether F1: Drive to Survive season 4 will be available.
