‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 18 Sets June 2022 Netflix Release Date

Grey’s Anatomy, the longest-running ABC show of all time, is about to conclude its run on ABC and is headed to Netflix US in June 2022.

Debuting on September 30th 2021, the new season of Grey’s Anatomy consists of 20 episodes and runs through to the end of May 2022.

Some of the mainstays from the series, including Jesse Williams and Giacomo Gianniotti are leaving this season. It’s not all bad news, however, Kate Walsh notably returned for a cameo in season 18.

When will Grey’s Anatomy S18 be on Netflix in the US?

The good news is that the Grey’s Anatomy release schedule on Netflix has been very consistent over the years. We can predict when the 18th season will arrive on Netflix.

For the last few years, every season has been in May (in case of season 16), June (in case of season 17) or the most recent July (in case for season 17).

Season 17 premiered last year exactly one month after wrapping.

The show will be available in America between June 2022 and July 2022, as we had expected. However, it was only a few days before. We’ve now had that confirmed with season 18 of Grey’s Anatomy confirmed to be hitting Netflix US on June 25th, 2022

Is Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix internationally?

Originally we expected Netflix in Latin America, Canada, and some Asian regions to receive season 18 of Grey’s Anatomy around the same time as the United States in 2022.

However, that no longer looks to be the case as we’ve been alerted that the series is, in fact, leaving Netflix internationally. We reported that a few major Disney series, mostly through 20th Television, will be leaving Netflix international on January 1, 2022. That includes every season of Grey’s Anatomy leaving on January 1st.

If you’re outside these regions, it’s highly unlikely Netflix will carry the show going forward. Disney instead made the series part of its Disney+ Star offer.

Will Grey’s Anatomy be leaving Netflix?

Despite numerous reports, it doesn’t appear that Grey’s Anatomy will be departing Netflix anytime soon. Disney (the parent company of ABC) has mostly pulled back its content from Netflix but its looks as though the legacy deal struck for Grey’s Anatomy will keep it streaming for the foreseeable.

It’s also worth noting that the Grey’s Anatomy spin-off Private Practice departed Netflix US in December 2021 after two years.
