Is ‘Ant-Man’ streaming on Netflix?

It’s no secret Marvel movies reign supreme at the moment and Ant-Man is no exception. A sequel is in the works for the long-awaited 2015 film. If you’re like me, you may want a refresher before heading into the new movie. Sadly, Netflix won’t be the platform of choice to watch the 2015 Ant-Man movie starring Paul Rudd.

Why isn’t Ant-Man on Netflix US?

As you may know by now, getting movies on Netflix isn’t cheap. The price of big budget movies is high and often beat out by competitors. Sadly, Ant-Man didn’t release in the new Netflix and Disney deal window, it released a year before. That means it won’t be coming to Netflix in the United States.

Netflix subscribers will be able to rent the film, but there might be a wait due to high demand.

Ant-Man was indeed featured in Captain America: Civil War, but the movie has just been removed from Netflix USA after being streamed for over a year.

Unogs reports that Netflix only has one region streaming the movie right now. This region, India, has only seen the movie drop this week. It could be that the film will soon be released in other regions to promote it. With that said, we don’t envision this being any of the major Netflix English speaking regions.

For some regions, the answer will be yes although we’ll dive much deeper into this in an article tomorrow. The new movie seem to have gotten good reviews despite it completely ignoring all of the recent events of ‘Infinity War’.
