“It’s the power of love!” Can’t help but sing along to that one when Back to the Future is on TV. It’s been 33 years now since the release of the first film and the franchise is easily still just as popular. However, such a beloved franchise is bound to be available on Netflix. Let’s find out!
Back to the Future is undoubtedly one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all time. It is also one of the most beloved trilogies ever made. For Michael J Fox and Christopher Llyod, the roles of Marty and Doc respectively would be their career-defining roles. A side note: Robert Zemeckis, director of the franchise has said that it will not be rebooted as long as his life is still alive. Phew!
After Doc Brown's murder, Marty McFly as a teenager is sent back to the past in a DeLorean. Marty arrives 30 years back in time in 1955. He accidentally blocks his Father and Mother's first meeting. Soon, he finds himself facing bully Biff. His mother is obsessed with him while his father is an idiot. Doc Brown is Doc Brown's only friend. Marty decides to make sure that he exists, and go back to the past.
