Itaewon Class, a K-Drama series licensed internationally by Netflix for worldwide distribution, is currently being produced. It is inspired by the Korean webcomic Gwang Jin, and written for TV by Jin. Kim-Sung-Yoon, who has previously directed K-Dramas like Discovery of Love and Love in the Moonlight is directing the series. Itaewon Class, the latest K-Drama to be added to Netflix's streaming service, is a result of the renewed partnership between jTBC & Netflix.

Itaewon Class: What plot?

Itaewon Class synopsis:

Park Sae Roy, a new student at high school, gets in trouble for punching Jang Geun Won who was bullying another classmate. Jang Dae Hee is Jang Geun Won's father and also the chief executive officer of Jagga restaurant, as well as Park Sae Roy dad. Park Sae Roy's father, Park Sae Roy, is eventually fired after refusing to accept responsibility for his punching Jang Geun Won. Soon after, a tragic accident, caused by Jang Geun Won, takes place and Park Sae Ro Yoy’s father dies. Park Sae Roy, angry and heartbroken at the loss of his father, viciously beat Jang Geun Won. He was sentenced to time behind bars. Park Sae Roy decides to strike back at the Jagga family and Jang families, opening his own restaurant in Itaewon.
