Netflix continues to invest heavily in South Korean films, and the streaming site is also investing in movies in Asia, in particular Japan. To kick start Spring 2022 the romantic drama Love Like the Falling Petals is coming to Netflix, and below is everything we know so far.
Fukagawa Yoshihiro is the director of Love Like the Falling Petals. Yoshida Tomoko, Uyama Keisuke and Toho Studios produced the film.
Notice: This movie's previous title was My Dearest, Like a Cherry Blossom. It has been changed to Love Like the Falling Petals.
Subscribers must wait for Spring but we know that Love Like the Falling Petals will be available on Netflix starting Thursday, March 24, 2022.
Haruto Asakura falls for Misaki Ariake, a hairdresser, and they go on a first date. Haruto is inspired by Misaki's determination to succeed and their love is set to end when Misaki is diagnosed as having a rare condition that causes her to age ten times faster.
Only two actors have been confirmed as Love Like the Falling Petals at the time this article was written.
Nakajima Kento and Matsumoto Honoka will play the lead roles in the film as Ariake Misaki and Asakura Haruto.
Nakajima Kento is well-known for his live action adaptation of Nisekoi. He plays the role of Ichijo Raku.

Principal photography started on October 1, 2021 and finished after a short period of filming, on October 25, 2021.
Filming was done in Tokyo, Japan.
