Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous has returned to Netflix with the second season. But, will there be a third season? The answer is yes and it’ll be on Netflix this May.
This animated series for kids has just finished its second season. Season 1 was released in September. The series is inspired by the immensely popular Universal film franchise that began in the 1990s.
There were many unanswered questions at the end of season 2. The group was still trapped on the island after Mitch and Tiff stopped them from killing the dinosaurs. But help is possible.
Still, there are many questions about E750. Some theories include that it’s a Siberian mammoth, a hybrid dinosaur, a Spinoraptor, or some other kind of deadly dinosaur.
Jurassic World is one of the last titles to come out of Netflix’s expansive deal with Dreamworks with the final one (at least announced) Go Dog Go, dropping in February 2021.
Comicbook spoke with showrunner Scott Kreamer, and Colin Trevorrow. They revealed that they are excited about more episodes.
“We have a lot more story to tell with these characters, and we’ve set up things going back to Season 1 that we definitely want to pay off,” adding “So here’s hoping, because when we started, we knew [that] the opening sequence of Fallen Kingdom, where they go in to get the Indominus tube and all that, that takes place six months after Jurassic World falls. We’ve got plenty of time to tell stories before then, and then still keeping with the canon of the Jurassic universe.”
Season 3 was announced by Jurassic World on March 11, with an announcement via Twitter.
Netflix will release the new season (or series 3) of Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous on May 21st 2021.
Netflix users in the US can stream three LEGO Jurassic World movies (availability may vary from outside of the US).
