LGBTQ Animated Series ‘Q-Force’ Coming to Netflix in September 2021

Netflix has announced that Q-Force will be coming to Netflix in September 2021. While pride month continues around the globe, Netflix also recently announced that Q-Force is a new animated adult-oriented LGBTQ comedy series.

Q-Force, an adult-animated comedy series on Netflix Original created by Sean Hayes & Michael Schur. Gabe Liedman is the series' writer and also a cast member.

What is the Q-Force season 1, Netflix release date?

It won’t be long before Q-Force arrives on Netflix. The teaser trailer has confirmed that Q Force season 2 will arrive on September 2, 2021.

Is there a plot to Q-Force's existence?

The American Intelligence Agency gives Agent Mary, Steve Maryweather, the opportunity to show that they are capable of being LGBTQ superspies. But in order to get the full approval of the agency, the “Q-Force” is given a straight agent to help assist them on their espionage adventures.

Sean Hayes – Steve “Agent Mary” Maryweather

Sean Hayes, best known as Jack McFarland from the sitcom Will & Grace is well-known. But in Q-Force, he will play the role of Agent Mary, aka Steve Maryweather.

Prior to joining Q-Force and coming out as gay Steve “Agent Mary” Maryweather was an agent for the American Intelligence Agency. Steve leads the Q-Force Team.

David Harbour – Agent Rick Buck

David Harbour, who plays Sheriff Jim Hopper in Stranger Things is easily recognisable on Netflix. David Harbour, who played Sheriff Jim Hopper in Stranger Things' first season, has been one of Hollywood's most sought-after actors.

Harbour, who will play the role of Agent Rick Buck in Q-Force after all the others have been confirmed as spies, is the sole straight member of Q-Force.

Patti Harrison – Stat

Patti Harrison recently had a role on Disney’s Raya and the Lat Dragon, but the actress has also had a hand in some Originals for Netflix. Along with being a writer on Big Mouth season 3, Harrison has lent her acting prowess on Bojack Horseman and I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson.

Stat, the Q-Force hacker and tech expert is hiding her secrets from all the others.

Matt Rogers – Twink

Matt Rogers is best known for his work as a producer for the Gayme Show and for providing voice talent for the animated series Our Cartoon President.

Twink, a Q-Force agent with a friend, uses his talents as a Drag Queen and masters disguise to be a great partner.

Wanda Sykes – Deb

Comedian Wanda Sykes is fresh off the back of her own Netflix Original comedy series The Upshaws, not to mention she’s appeared in plenty of stand-up specials for the streaming service.

Deb is the mechanic of the group, but when she’s not busy at work with Q-Force she’s busy at home with her wife and their sixteen puppies.

Laurie Metcalf – V

Toy Story fans will recognize the voice of Laurie Metcalf as Andy’s Mom, while horror fans will recognize her as Debbie Salt in Scream 2.

V, the AIA's deputy director, is also the highest-ranking female employee of the agency. Mary is also a big crush of hers, even though he's gay.

Gabe Liedman – Benji

Gabe Liedman is an actor, writer, and producer on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's smash-hit comedy series.

Mary's love interest, Benji, is often in danger because of the Q-Force team's antics.

Gary Cole – Director Dirk Chunley

Gary Cole was a frequent voice actor in various animated comedies and projects throughout the years. The most notable of which have been Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, and Big Mouth. Cole also appeared in many movies and TV shows over the years, including Suits, Desperate Housewives and The Good Wife.

Dirk Chunley, the straight-talking, no-nonsense director at the AIA, is Dirk Chunley.

How many episodes is Q-Force worth?

Q-Force will air ten episodes in total. Each episode lasts 30 minutes.
