Reckoning is a limited series that was one of Netflix's best-hidden treasures. It will be leaving Netflix in most regions by the beginning of 2021.
This limited series is from Australia, where it was aired by AXN. AXN is a premium cable channel.
Reckoning follows the investigation into a local teen being murdered in their homes and their father’s attempts to protect their families and track down the killer.
Aden Young and Sam Trammell are among the series' stars. Simone Kessell and Gloria Garayua also feature prominently. David Hubbard, David Eick created the series.
Decider, despite many good reviews, gave it a solid skip and said it was not worth the effort. But ultimately, if you’ve ever had an inkling of watching it now is your chance as time is running out.
IMDb gives the series a rating of 6.6/10.
On January 1, 2021, Netflix will remove the limited series from nearly all Netflix regions, including Australia, India and Canada. Unogs has a complete list of all regions where the series can be viewed.
If you’re thinking it’s not been long since Reckoning was added to Netflix, you’re not wrong. In the United States, and in the United Kingdom, it was available on Netflix as of May 1, 2020. The series was also available in other regions, but it took a while.
Although it’s hard to read too much into its removal, it could indicate that licensing deals Netflix strikes now are far shorter than they used to be.
The licensing of content from most regions in the world will be difficult starting January 1. Netflix US will lose several shows, including The Office and Gossip Girl. There will also be a slew of movies and documentaries.
Reckoning will be gone on January 1. Will it leave you? Please let us know your thoughts in the comments.
