Lockwood & Co., a new series of supernatural thrillers is coming to Netflix in 2022. Featuring an exciting young cast, and an excellent ensemble of actors, Lockwood & Co could be one of Netflix’s next big Originals. Here’s everything we know so far about Lockwood & Co season 1 on Netflix.
Lockwood & Co, a Netflix Original supernatural thriller series, is based on Jonathan Stroud's young adult novel of the same title. The series is produced by Complete Fiction, the same studio behind Edgar Wright’s Last Night in Soho, and the upcoming Attack the Block sequel.
The series is now in post production and Lockwood & Co could be available on Netflix by the end 2022.
We’re still waiting on Netflix to confirm an official release date.
Ghost hunters are teenagers who scout the streets of London looking for the ghosts of the night. Among the numerous adult agencies there is one that stands out: Lockwood & Co. It was founded by Anthony Lockwood and George Karim. Lucy Carlysle also runs it. The trio of renegades are without financial motive or adult supervision, but they have the potential to alter the course of human history as they uncover a great mystery.
The cast announcement for Lockwood & Co has plenty of books fans excited for what’s to come.
Ruby Stokes (Bridgerton actress), who is a rising star, will lead the cast. Stokes will play the part of Lucy Carlyle.
Cameron Chapman makes his TV debut on Lockwood & Co as Anthony Lockwood.
As George Karim, Ali Hadjii-Heshmati (Alex Rider), completes the trio of detectives.

Lockwood & Co. began principal photography in July 2021. It continued for many months until it finally ended in March 2022.
Some behind-the scenes social media posts show that filming took place in blocks. The second block was completed at the beginning of December 2021.
Fans who were observant of the progress practically reported the addition Ruby Stokes, Bridgerton's star, to the cast.
The first season will consist of eight episodes, according to Lockwood & Co. The average runtime for each episode is 60 minutes.
There are five Lockwood & Co novels in total. The adaptation of The Screaming Staircase, the first book in the series, will be the start of the series. It is not clear if more books will be covered during one season.
If fans wanted it that way, each season would include the entire events from each book. This would make five seasons.
