‘Medici’ Season 3 Coming to Netflix in May 2020

In May 2020, Netflix will release the third season of the Netflix Original Series Medici. Here’s all the details you need to know before the series lands on Netflix in most regions from May 1st, 2020.

If you’ve let this historical drama get you by so far, now is definitely your chance to get in on the action. The series features big-name actors like Richard Madden and Sean Bean. It is one of Netflix's most treasured shows.

Season 1 was released on Netflix in December 2016, but it aired first on Rai 1 (Italian TV Network). After airing in Italy, November 2018 and December 2019, the second season was rerun on Netflix. The subject matter and cast were reset for season 2. Season 3.

Season 3 of Medici will it be any different from season 2?

Season 3 of Medici will be a continuation of season 2, but Sean Bean won't be back due to the events in season 2.

This series is story-wise continues after the Pazzi conspiracy. Lorenzo withdraws to Naples, and hopefully manages to negotiate a peace treaty.

The official Italian title for season 3 is “I Medici: Nel nome della Famiglia”

However, there are some fresh faces in this season. Variety reported in 2018 that Christian Duguay, Francesco Montanari and others had been added to the cast.

Season 3 will feature eight episodes, as in previous seasons.

Which regions will be able to stream Medici Season 3?

Unfortunately, not all Netflix regions have Medici.

Netflix USA, Canada, Ireland and Ireland are the current countries that have the marks up for the third season. Season 3 of Medici will be available in all five regions starting May 1, 2020.

For Australians, you’ll only currently find the first two seasons on SBS on Demand.
