Morocco: Love in Times of War, also known as Tiempos De Guerra (also called Period-Drama War Series) will soon leave Netflix. It has been streamed in nearly every country since 2018, and is now available exclusively on Netflix. Now, it’s set to leave four years after arriving on Netflix in February 2022.
The controversial drama Love in Times of War, which aired its first airing on September 3, 2017, was broadcasted by Spanish television network Antena 3. It is set in Melilla in Morocco and is one of the most important cities in Northern Africa.
The series follows nurse trainees from Madrid’s upper class opening a hospital in Melilla for Rif War soldiers, finding friendship and romance while saving lives.
Among the cast seen in the limited series (the series never returned for a second season) includes Alicia Borrachero, Amaia Salamanca, Verónica Sánchez, Cristóbal Suárez, José Sacristán, Álex García, and Anna Moliner.
The 13 episodes total were thirteen and launched on Netflix January 18, 2018. This was one of our top-rated Spanish-language shows on Netflix.
Morocco: Love in Times of War currently displays a removal notice on February 16, 2022. This means that your last day of streaming Netflix is February 15, 2022.
It is quite common, especially since previous Netflix Originals have left the service. As we’ve covered extensively it really comes down to licensing.
Netflix Original is available in four different types, despite all of them being the same. In the case of Morocco: Love in Times of War, the show’s distribution rights are owned by Atresmedia Televisión and they are only licensed to Netflix for a fixed period.
We’ve seen dozens of Netflix Originals leave Netflix including other Spanish-language titles like La Mante, The 4th Company, and Four Seasons in Havana.
