Netflix Original Horror ‘Eli’: Everything we Know so Far

Review Ethan / 2022-11-09 21:21:32

Netflix and Chills indeed as we look forward to the release of Netflix’s horror line up for this coming Halloween. The second Original horror scheduled to arrive this October is Eli, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for us. Everything you want to know about Eli is available here, including the trailer and plot.

Eli is an upcoming Netflix Original horror directed by Ciarán Foy, he previously directed Sinister 2 (2015) and Citadel (2012). Richard Naing, Ian Goldberg, and David Chirchirillo wrote the screenplay. After the film’s completion in December 2018, Netflix picked up the distribution for Eli but chose to wait until Halloween to release it.

Is there a plot to Eli's story?

Eli was born with an auto-immune condition that severely affected his life. Eli is admitted to a remote clinic for treatment, but soon realizes that his temporary residence may be far worse than he ever expected.

What are the cast members for Eli?

What year was Eli produced?

Originally, Eli belonged to Paramount and a January 2019 release date was scheduled, but because of Paramount’s struggle to figure out how to market Eli, they instead sold the distribution rights to Netflix.

Filming started on January 29th 2018 and ended on March 12th, 2018. Post-production lasted from April 2018 to September 2018, it was announced on the December of that year that the film had been completed, but this also coincided with Netflix’s purchase to distribute the film.

It’s somewhat surprising Netflix has taken so long to release Eli, although it makes sense they held back a horror title for their Halloween line-up.
