Scream, MTV’s slasher horror series, has been available to stream on Netflix in most regions for almost seven years. Fans of Scream will soon say goodbye after a disappointing wait for its third season. The new season will be available on Netflix in the United States starting July 2022.
Scream, an American horror-slasher anthology series, was created by Jill Blotevogel and Dan Dworkin for MTV. It is based upon the Scream movie franchise, Kevin Williamson, and Wes Craven.
A cyberbullying attack at school leads to a murder. The violence brings back memories from years ago when the town was terrorized by a serial killer. A new killer is on the loose, hunting teenagers who are struggling to survive and find out the identity of the killer before it’s too late.
The Scream TV Show is set to depart at least 35 other countries on July 16, 2022.

Netflix has many different Netflix Originals that can be streamed, however Netflix fails to show the differences between licensed Netflix Originals and those produced by Netflix.
The exclusive license of content includes Scream. When a series like Scream is made and distributed in a country other than Netflix, but is licensed by Netflix for exclusive distribution to international viewers.
Peaky Blinders is another example. The BBC produces and distributes the British version of Peaky Blinders. However, Peaky Blinders is licensed exclusively by Netflix outside the UK. This is the reason the show has been listed as a Netflix Original.
Another example is Netflix's licensing of the vast majority of its KDrama content. Netflix has exclusive access to all weekly K-Dramas that are not available in South Korea.
Scream was added to Netflix for the first time in October 2015. Although the show was available for streaming on Netflix for nearly seven years, its licensing is ending.
The third season of Scream was not available on Netflix for fans outside the US. Scream season 3 was not available due to a dispute between Netflix, the Weinstein Company. This resulted from an older output agreement between the two companies.
While those in the United States don’t have the show as a Netflix Original, they were recipients of the third season believe it or not.
Netflix US is able to continue the series a bit longer because of it.
According to our intelligence, Netflix USA will keep the three Scream seasons for some time. At the moment, the rights are expected to expire in September 2023 in the US but that’s subject to change.
