Netflix acquired international rights for the PBS series Human: The World Within. It will be available as a Netflix Original in all regions other than the United States starting June 4, 2021.
Update (05/09/2021): Netflix US will carry the documentary series starting June 4, 2021, but it won't have the Netflix Original branding.
This documentary series, narrated Jad Abumrad, examines cutting-edge science and features various parts of the body. It includes a variety of stories from all over the globe. Jad Abumrad, a radio producer and host who collaborates with Latif Nasser on RadioLab is well-known.
Nasser himself recently released his own Netflix Original series, Connected which we’re told could be returning for a second season but they’re waiting for the world to reopen.
Six episodes, each approximately 53 minutes long, will be released simultaneously on Netflix. They were previously aired weekly on PBS between May 5th & June 2nd 2021.
Reviews for the docu-series have been strong although there’s not a huge number to go of indicating that its release on PBS has largely gone unwatched.

It remains to be determined if the series will end up on Netflix USA. In recent years, PBS has pulled back its content from streaming on Netflix in favor of its own means of distribution whether that be through PBS’s website or through their Amazon Prime channels.
