Your favorite creepy true crime show from the 80s is getting a reboot and we couldn’t be more excited.
Fans of true-crime should rejoice Maybe it’s just my age, but Unsolved Mysteries was one of the best shows ever. Robert Stack, host of Unsolved Mysteries was always cool and enigmatic. Even the music was creepy! It encouraged viewers to solve mysteries. This was perhaps the best thing about the program!
This series features a documentary style host who introduces the stories, and an actor who dramatizes the unexplained. The dramatizations were also based on interviews with real people.
The original Unsolved Mysteries ran for 11 seasons and produced 260 episodes that chronicled more than 1,000 stories. The original host Robert Stack is the best known as the host of the program, but over the years others stepped in including Dennis Farina and Raymond Burr.

It is currently being revived by the original creators and producers of Netflix's Stranger Things.
This modern take on the classic series will maintain the chilling feeling viewers loved about the original, while also telling the stories through the lens of a premium Netflix documentary series. Each episode will focus on one mystery and once again will look to viewers to help aid investigators in closing the book on long outstanding cases.
At least 12 episodes have been approved for the show.
While we have no confirmation date, it’s in pre-production so it will likely get a late 2019 or early 2020 release.
