Coming to Netflix this holiday season is the Netflix Original adaptation of Rachel Cohn’s and David Levithan’s novel, Dash & Lily. We’ll be keeping track of all the latest news and information on Dash & Lily season 1, including, the plot, cast, and Netflix release date.
Dash & Lily is an upcoming Netflix Original romantic-drama series based on the book Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. Shawn Levy and Nick Jonas produced the series.
We received confirmation on October 7, 2020 that Dash & Lily Season 1 will be available for streaming via Netflix globally.
In December 2020, the tie-in book for Netflix will be available. The Netflix tie-in book, which is considered promotional material, usually releases at the same time that the series.

It’s looking increasingly likely that Dash & Lily season one will be coming to Netflix in December 2020.
Netflix has provided the official synopsis of the series:
“A whirlwind holiday romance builds as cynical Dash and optimistic Lily trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations all across New York City.”

On October 7, 2020, the first teaser trailer for this movie was released.
Dash & Lily is a romantic-drama, based on the book Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. The series has two books. In eight episodes, the first season will be about the events in the first book.
Lily (16-year-old unlucky-in-love 16-year old) listens to her brother's advice and places her red notebook on the shelf of her favourite bookshop. Lily is waiting to see if the right man will accept her dare in this book. Dash just so happens to come across her notebook, curious by her challenge, and looking for the perfect distraction takes Lily’s Book of Dares. The pair fall in love as they send one another on scavenger hunting across Manhattan. It could prove to be the greatest dare of their lives, as they try to discover if the two have the same chemistry in real life.

Credits have been awarded to Joe Tracz and Lauren Moon for A Series of Unfortunate Events (at the time of the writing). Both Rachel Cohn (A Series of Unfortunate Events) and David Levithan will be given writing credit for their contributions to the novel.

The series was filmed entirely in New York, where the book series is located. Filming began on October 14, 2019, and ended on December 11, 2019. This means that the filming had completed before COVID-19.
According to the official IMDb listing for Dash & Lily, Fred Savage will direct at least four episodes. Brad Silberling (City of Angels) will share the directing duties.
Dash & Lily will debut with eight episodes. Fred Savage will direct half the series.

We have good news too for the future. We’re happy to report that season 2 of the series is in active development. This doesn’t mean its future is 100% in the bag but that future episodes are being mapped out and that makes sense given the sequel books the writers have to source stories from.
