Storyline

Alex, a little kid, is imprisoned by a witch (Krysten Ritter), and to prevent certain death, he persuades her to let him tell her a terrifying story every night.
The two must use their wits to escape the witch's servant, Yazmin's residence, a mystical labyrinth packed with numerous hazards before the witch murders them both.

Netflix started in June 2019 that they were creating a Nightbooks adaptation, with Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis penning the story.
Krysten Ritter, Winslow Fegley, and Lidya Jewett will appear in the picture, which David Yarovesky will direct and be released in October 2020.
Ghost House Pictures' Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert and MXN Entertainment's Mason Novick and Michelle Knudsen produced the film.
Principal photography took place in Toronto, Ontario, from October 14 to December 17, 2020.

Winslow Fegley as Alex

Winslow Fegley was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and is the son of actors Michael Fegley and Merce Fegley and August Fegley and Oakes Fegley. Winslow partners with avant-garde theatre director Thaddeus Phillips on the stage performance of "A Billion Nights on Earth."
During the summer of 2017, the performance was created at the Buntport Theatre in Denver, CO.
In September 2017, it traveled to sold-out houses in Philadelphia, and in November 2017, it performed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music as part of the Next Wave Festival, where it again sold out its run.
He started the year with a cameo appearance on TV Land's "Teachers" and then spent the spring filming eight episodes of the Disney Channel series "Fast Layne."

Krysten Ritter

Krysten Alyce Ritter is an American actor, director, singer, novelist, and model born on December 16, 1981.
From 2009 to 2010, she was most known for her role as Jane Margolis in the AMC drama series Breaking Bad.
She later starred as Chloe in the ABC sitcom Don't Trust the B—— in Apartment 23 (2012–2013) and as heroine Jessica Jones in the Netflix series Jessica Jones (2015–2019).
She also starred as Jessica Jones in the 2017 miniseries The Defenders and the 2019 Breaking Bad spinoff TV film El Camino. She returned her role as Jane Margolis.
