Netflix USA will soon have Outlander as a surprise guest on its streaming service by May 2019 The fantasy epic's first and second seasons will be available on Netflix starting May 27, 2019.

The Starz series has been wildly successful for the network but up until now, you’ve had to have a Starz subscription in the United States or relied on Amazon Prime in some regions.

However, Netflix has carried the show as an Original in most of mainland Europe, Asia, Australia, and some other regions but for the most part, it’s not been available on Netflix.

Caitriona Balfe stars with Sam Heughan and Duncan Lacroix. The show is set in 1743, when a war nurse is transported back to that era. It has received 6 Golden Globe nominations, and the fourth season was completed in January 2019.

Netflix does carry Starz series all around the world but in the United States, Netflix currently carries Spartacus and even then, we’re expecting that to leave in 2020 and Ash Vs Evil Dead whos third and final season arrives at the end of April 2019.

What date is Outlander due to be available on Netflix USA?

Netflix Family tweeted the announcement that Outlander would be coming to Netflix late Monday night, April 22nd.

Only season 1 and 2, which will be released at the end May, were mentioned in this announcement. It is expected that this will only apply to the United States. The existing arrangements will continue to apply in other regions.

What time will Outlander season 3 and 4 be available on Netflix?

Netflix will now likely renew Outlander on an annual basis so by the latest, we’d expect season 3 to be made available come April 2020. Netflix sometimes has multiple seasons that it can catch up to, but not for a set time.

The fifth season of the series is in production and will be released later this year. Starz also ordered a sixth season for the series.
