New Orleans is abuzz with the news of a new mysterious pill that grants superpowers to all users. The catch: You don’t know what will happen until you take it. Some people experience bulletproof skin and invisibility. Others have a more severe reaction. When the drug causes crime to escalate to dangerous levels in the area, Joseph Gordon-Levitt (local cop) team up with Dominique Fishback (teenager dealer) and Jamie Foxx (former soldier) to battle power with power. They also risk taking the pill to stop those responsible.

Project Power is based on comic books?

You can forgive yourself if Project Power was based on one of the numerous comic book adaptations that have been made in the last decade.

Mattson Tomlin wrote the superhero story and it was not taken from a comic.

Netflix has certainly dabbled in comics, and we’d love to see Project Power receive the comic book treatment in the near future.

Where and when was Project Power shot?

Filming was done in New Orleans and the surrounding areas, which is not surprising considering the story takes place in New Orleans.

Principal photography was held in October 2018, and continued until December 2018.
