Netflix has acquired the rights to the first season in animated children's series Rainbow Rangers. The show will release at least 26 episodes and in many regions, in July 2021.
Netflix will receive at least one episode of the series in all countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. This is in addition to Netflix's original broadcast in America. The show will also be available in all regions via Prime Video and HBO Max. Genius Brands has a press release that provides additional information about the region breakdown.
Kartoon Channel in America has already broadcast the show! The show has been premiered by Nick Jr and Nick Jr. Nick Jr aired Nick Jr's first episode in November 2018.

Sean Scott directs the Rainbow Rangers' first season. It features seven magic girls, who are guardians of nature and the Earth. They also wear rainbow colors.
Every episode lasts approximately 11 minutes. The first season will have 26 episodes on Netflix. However, 52 episodes were originally commissioned over two seasons.
It is not yet known if season 2 will be available on Netflix, but it is likely at some point. However, season 3 will only be available on Kartoon Channel. Genius Brands International owns the channel. The addition of it to Netflix and other services is likely to be an attempt to engage viewers and allow them to search for new seasons. It is not clear if this will work in practice.
We’ve seen Netflix push heavily into kids’ content over recent years whether that be via its output deal with Dreamworks TV, massive investment in Netflix Animation, or picking up licensing deals like this one. Netflix has licensed more Nickelodeon titles and The Smurfs to its library in recent months.
