More episodes of Netflix’s new reality series Restaurants on the Edge are coming to Netflix worldwide in May 2020.
Reality series in which three industry professionals, Nick Liberato and Dennis Prescott travel around the globe to help restaurants turn a corner, fix their businesses, and Karin Benn is one of them.
The series isn’t quite a full Netflix Original. Cottage Life was the first Canadian channel to air this series. It primarily broadcasts reality and docu-series.
Season 1 was released on Netflix worldwide in February 2020, with six episodes.
The show is often compared to Kitchen Nightmares as it features a very familiar premise but couldn’t be more different. The first season received mixed reviews. While some viewers enjoy the traveling aspect, others have reservations about the host's handling of restaurant owners. This takes the spotlight away from the actual restaurants.
However, it did produce great moments, including William the Baker from Hong Kong, who gave some amazing one-liners and a fantastic deadpan delivery.
With the release of the new episodes, it will be back in a few months.
According to Cottage Life, the next series will see us visiting Finland, Muskoka, Slovenia and Arizona but we’re not fully sure how many episodes there will be just yet. Cottage Life also says that this technically marks the end of season 1.
All new episodes will be available on Netflix worldwide in May 2020, except Canada.
Netflix Canada won’t immediately receive the new season. Thankfully, unlike some instances where Canadians have to wait over a year, we’re not expecting the same for Restaurants on the Edge. Season 1 arrived roughly a month after it did elsewhere in the world so hopefully, you’ll be streaming season 2 by the summer.
