Netflix acquired international streaming rights for Sailor Moon Eternal, the latest movie in the Sailor Moon series. It is undoubtedly one of the most popular anime that Netflix has ever purchased. Fans will rejoice to find out that they will have both parts available for streaming on Netflix starting in June 2021.
Sailor Moon Eternal is an upcoming two-part Netflix Original Japanese anime movie based on the Sailor Moon manga by author Naoko Takeuchi. The movie was released in Japan in theaters earlier in the year. This is only the second Sailor Moon movie to be shown in cinemas. The first, Sailor Moon SuperS: The Movie, was released 26 years ago.
On Netflix’s official YouTube account for its anime content, they released a trailer for the new Sailor Moon film. This film will be released worldwide on June 3, 2021.
This movie is set during the Dream Arc of the Sailor Moon manga. It serves as the direct continuation of the Sailor Moon Crystal anime as the fourth season.
Chibiusa and Sailor Moon meet Helios in April when a strange solar eclipse occurs. Helios is a mysterious Pegasus looking for two maidens who can break the Golden Crystal seal. The Dead Moon Circus, also known as Chibiusa, plans to take over the Earth and the Moon by getting the Legendary Silver Crystal.
