Shtisel will return to Netflix in March 2021 for its third season.
It is set in Jresulamen, a Haredi neighbourhood. The story follows the Shtisel family as they form relationships with one another and others. This can sometimes be challenging given that the family must abide to strict Haredi rules. The show is created by Ori Elon and Yehonatan Indursky and stars Doval’e Glickman, Michael Aloni, and Neta Riskin.
The series' third season, which aired on Yes in Israel last December, will be available on Netflix worldwide at the end March 2021, on the 25th of March 2021. All nine episodes will be available simultaneously at 12:01 AM PST.
Dikla Barkai, who is a producer for the show, stated the following in a statement:
“This season was made possible thanks to the love and support we received from fans and viewers throughout the world. We are thrilled to be able to bring the Shtisel family to the warm embrace of global audiences in time for Passover,”
This season is extra special given that global superstar Shira Haas from Netflix’s Unorthodox plays a big role in the third season. It is notable that the third season was shot entirely during the second lockdown.
For fans of the show, you had a close shave with the show showing removal dates last December but thankfully, those didn’t come to fruition with Netflix managing to retain seasons one and two. Since December 2018, the show is available on Netflix.
Netflix will stream the show in Hebrew, but it also offers subtitles options, including English, French and Polish.
Before we leave you, here are a few screens from the new season and if you want to discuss the show with like-minded fans, there’s an excellent Facebook group for the show.
