‘Snowpiercer’ Season 2 Coming to Netflix Internationally Weekly From January 2021

Snowpiercer season 2 will return in 2021. It will also be available on Netflix worldwide on a weekly basis. Here’s the current expected release schedule and a little on what we know about Snowpiercer season 2.

The dystopian thriller that’s based on the screenplay by Bong Joon-ho kicked off in mid-2020 to mainly positive reviews. Netflix was able to acquire the rights to this series internationally. It aired first on TNT, owned by Warner Brothers.

Sean Bean, not only will he be heard on the tannoy, but in person, season 2 of the series. It’s also going to be the case that Netflix internationally carries the show on a weekly basis for season two.

Netflix releases the schedule for season 2 of Snowpiercer

New episodes don’t look like they’ll be coming exactly one day after the premiere. Instead, they’ll come to Netflix the following day.

The only information we have so far about the release date is that the first episode of season 2 will air on January 25, 2021. The premiere episode of season two will be available on Netflix at 8AM GMT the next morning (view your local timezone to see what it is).

New episodes of the series will be available on TNT in the United States and on Netflix on Tuesdays. It is slightly different from season 1, which used to be broadcast on Sunday nights in the US, before being adapted to Netflix on Mondays.

Here is the release schedule for all 10 episodes currently scheduled. The first season aired for nine weeks with the ninth episode and the tenth on the same day. We’ve assumed that’s happening again here but will update should that change.

Is Snowpiercer coming to Netflix US?

While we did hold out hope that Netflix in the United States and Canada could see Snowpiercer added as we’ve seen with other licensing deals of this nature. This is almost impossible to predict.

The series was not available on any streaming platform, but HBO Max will add the season to HBO Max. The second season will be added to HBO Max in the United States by early 2022.
