On December 1, 2019, popular kids series Sonic X will begin streaming on Netflix. Here’s what you need to know about series including whether or not it’ll be dubbed, how many seasons will be available and more.

As part of the Netflix lineup for December 2019, multiple seasons of Sonic X will be available. Sadly, we don’t know if that includes season 3 which has yet to see its streaming debut in the US at least.

Sonic X, an anime series based upon the Sega classic Sega character is called Sonic X. It ran in Japan between 2003-2004. A dubbed English version of the series was made.

Our social media channels first announced that Sonic X was coming to Netflix on December 17th.

The release comes as Netflix makes significant investments into its kid’s lineup. It signed an important deal last week with Nickelodeon to produce new shows.

Is there a Sonic X original dub available on Netflix?

We’re unclear as to whether or not Netflix will be carrying the original dub to Sonic X with the option of English dub too. They have done this previously in the past and as we pointed out, the series is carrying a Japanese genre tag which could suggest we’ll have both audio options available.

Two seasons are available right now on Prime Video USA and one on Hulu.

Which Netflix region is receiving Sonic X?

The United States is not the only country that will be receiving this show. The show will be broadcast in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Netflix also hosts the original 1993 series The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, which has 20 episodes. Sonic Boom, the 2014 series featuring 52 episodes isn’t on Netflix in the US but is available in regions such as Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
