Netflix is releasing their next interactive children's special on September 1, 2020. It will be called The Boss Baby: Grab That Baby!

The Boss Baby: Back in Business is one of Netflix’s best shows from its output deal with Dreamworks that’s soon coming to an end (at least with new shows). Three seasons of The Boss Baby: Back in Business have already been released.

Animation Magazine profiled a new interactive special based on this license. This special acts as a simulation of a job in Baby Corp, based on the fictional company.

Throughout the special, you’ll be trying out many of the numerous roles at the corporation and seeing whether you’re cut out or not to be worthy of the top job.

The interactive special will feature mostly voices of returning characters from the main series, including:

  • JP Karliak (Wabbit: A Looney Tunes Production) as Boss Baby
  • Pierce Gagnon (Looper) as Tim
  • Kevin Michael Richardson (All Hail King Julien) as Jimbo
  • Alex Cazares (The Casagrandes) as Staci
  • Diedrich Bater (Veep) as Junior Fancy
  • Rhys Darby (Jumanji 2) as Happy Sedengry
  • Wendie Malick (Hot in Cleveland) as Wendy McCracken
  • Jake Green (Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts) as Bootsy Calico
  • Victor Raider Wexler (Trollhunters) as Frederick Estes

In August 2019, Netflix announced the interactive special, where they revealed a few of their future projects to Bloomberg. The interactive content includes at least 3 interactive specials. Dreamwork has already released Carmen Sandiego, while Last Kids on Earth and The Boss Baby are also available.

Netflix’s interactive capability remains relatively unexploited in 2020 with the majority of the library right now still being aimed towards kids.

It’s still unknown whether The Boss Baby: Back in Business will be returning for a full fourth season as of August 2020. Traditionally we don’t learn of follow-up seasons of Dreamworks shows until a month before they’re due to release.

A new season, Riding Academy, will also be released in September 2020.

Do you look forward to The Boss Baby's interactive special? Please let us know your thoughts in the comments.
