Netflix has a Christmas special for you: The Great British Baking Show returns to Netflix on November 8.
The Great British Baking Show has become a hallmark of Netflix’s cooking lineup which has swelled in recent years with international pickups and original productions.
Unlike previous years, Netflix had The Great British Baking Shows on PBS. This year Netflix has the exclusive rights to this show, with new episodes added every Friday.
The Beginnings is another spinoff that Netflix offers. It takes you back to the first season. Masterclass, the second spinoff with four seasons available on Netflix currently, is also streaming.
Netflix added Season 1 of The Great British Baking Show Holidays to its streaming service on November 30, 2018.
Two special episodes are released each Christmas season. We’re now about to get the two episodes that aired on December 25th, 2018 and January 1st, 2019.
The first episode is once again named “The Great British Christmas Bake Off” and the second being The Great Festive Bake Off”.
For those in the United Kingdom, you’ll have to watch the special when it airs on television for the new episodes. Netflix has the older episodes, but it only shows the ones that were aired on BBC. You can find all the latest seasons only on 4oD.
It is expected that the third and final season will air in 2020. The premieres are scheduled for December 25, 2019 and January 1, 2020. What we don’t know yet is whether Netflix will manage to get them on a weekly basis like they’re doing with the main series or whether we’ll have to wait for November 2020. We’ll have more information on this as we get closer to the festive season.
