‘Twirlywoos’ Leaving Netflix in May 2021

A kid’s favorite Twirlywoos looks like it’ll be departing Netflix in multiple regions in May 2021.

The British series, which is part of the same production house as Teletubbies, Brum and In The Night Garden, will be removed in its entirety on May 15, 2021.

This means that both 100-episode seasons will be canceled.

According to Unogs, Netflix is now showing the removal dates for Netflix USA, Thailand, Singapore, and Philippines. Netflix does not show removal dates in some other countries, including Australia and Canada, although it could indicate that more may be coming.

Removing kids content is particularly painful given that parents have to explain to their kids (who probably aren’t versed in the intricacies of licensing) why their favorite show is leaving Netflix. It’s also been a rough year for Netflix losing kids content so far in 2021. For example, two of the Jim Henson shows were cancelled in March.

Another big British title, all four seasons, of Sherlock are also on the docket to leave Netflix in May 2021.

Are you looking for something else than Twirlywoos? There’s probably no better suggestion than Ask the Storybots which is streaming in full on Netflix and better yet, the studio behind that series is owned by Netflix so isn’t going anywhere.

We don't know of any streaming alternatives, but we believe one will soon take the show.

You can find out what is going to happen to Netflix in Australia, the UK, Canada and the USA in the next few months by visiting our hub, leaving Netflix soon.

We'd love to hear from you and your family about how Twirlywoos will be missed when it goes off Netflix.
