‘Virgin River’ Reportedly Renewed for Season 4 at Netflix Ahead of Season 3 Release

Virgin River will be returning to Netflix for even more. Virgin River, a feel-good series about love and family is back on Netflix for season 4. Filming will begin later in the summer.

The show debuted on Netflix in December 2019. It has since been a hit and is one of few shows that gets renewed consistently ahead of schedule.

The show is based on Robyn Carr's novels. It follows Mel as she moves to Northern California to escape her past life.

There are multiple factors that go into that decision of course but we’ve now had both seasons 2 and 3 renewed ahead of time. Season 3 is due to be released globally on July 9, 2021. It was even in production prior to the release of the second season.

Sources claiming that Season 4 is in the works are once more reporting on issue 1249, ProductionWeekly. This was published on June 3, 2021 and stated that there is still time for renewals.

The production listing states that the show will begin filming from July 28th through November 30th, 2021. These production times are unpredictable and schedules can change, so it is possible for this to be adjusted.

The show, as in all seasons before, will be continued to be produced at Vancouver, Canada.

It’s a little too early to predict when we’ll see season 4 of Virgin River added to Netflix but given the quick renewal and filming schedule, we could see season 4 drop in mid-2022 but that’s just speculation for the moment.

We’ll no doubt have a season 4 preview for Virgin River around the time season 3 comes out but until then, the future continues to look bright for Virgin River on Netflix.

Netflix has been contacted for comments.
