Netflix just dropped the first season of The CW’s Halloween-flavored series Two Sentence Horror Stories but will it be coming back for a second season and when will it be on Netflix? Let’s break down the series and look at when season 2 of Two Sentence Horror Stories will be on Netflix.
Created by Vera Miao this anthology horror series has had a strange release schedule up until now which we’ll come onto in a second and how it pertains to Netflix.
It’s essentially Black Mirror if it was Halloween specific and written by fan fiction. Reviews haven’t been too kind for the show but as with all horror, it’s highly subjective.
Season 1 aired on The CW in April 2017. It aired five episodes, with the last episode airing October 31st. Season 1 was just released on Netflix September 20, 2019.
Season 2 began on The CW in August 2019, and episode 9 was released September 19, 2019.

We mentioned that the show's release date is unusual. Netflix received season 1 less than a year after the show aired. Many people know that Netflix and The CW had an output agreement which saw 7 new titles added seven days after the final. If that was the case, we’d have seen it added to Netflix last year in November.
This title seems to fall under either one of two categories. It means either Netflix chose to hold back the release for Halloween this year or it’s on a separate deal outside the main contract from The CW.
Unfortunetely, without a regular schedule, we can’t accurately predict when season 2 will come to Netflix.
We currently have two theories.
Our first best guess is that the series will come to Netflix as part of the Halloween lineup for 2020 meaning we’ll see it added in either September 2020 or October 2020.
Our other theory, and it’s a bit of a long shot, is that we’ll see it added before Halloween 2019. It wasn’t announced for the October 2019 releases but it wasn’t for September 2019 either.
As of right now, we’re not expecting the show from The CW to head to Netflix elsewhere. It’s been a rare occurrence in recent years for Netflix to carry shows from the network.
