When will Season 6 of ‘Outlander’ be on Netflix?

Outlander just finished its sixth season of Starz, and it is now available on select Netflix regions. However, it won’t be coming to Netflix in other regions like the US for a number of years. Here’s where and when season 6 of Outlander season 6 is on Netflix.

Distributed by Sony Pictures Television, Outlander is a Starz Original that’s been on the air since 2014. The most recent season of Outlander, which consisted 8 episodes, aired from March 6th to May 1st 2022. (Remember this date later). It continues to be an enormous success and a seventh season is yet to be announced. However, there are plans for a prequel series.

The fantasy series frequently appears in Netflix’s top 10s across the world with most Netflix regions carrying the show but in different capacities.

The sixth season of Outlander sees a continuation of Claire and Jamie’s fight to protect those they love, as they navigate the trials and tribulations of life in colonial America.

Netflix Original Release Date for Outlander Season 6

In select Netflix regions, the show is carried as a Netflix Original meaning it’s distributed by Netflix exclusively. These regions will receive new episodes 24 hours after the originals air in America. This is effective from March 7, 2022. For these regions, they’ve carried the show exclusively since season 2.

The following regions are expected or confirmed to get weekly Outlander episodes:

• Belgium
• France
• India
• Malaysia
• Japan
• Hong Kong
• Poland does not have a Netflix Original brand
• South Korea
• Singapore*

What time will Outlander debut on Netflix Canada and Australia?

Most other main regions of Netflix will receive Outlander but it’s not labeled as a Netflix Original. Most of the time, Outlander is aired by a local distributor, which then brings it to Netflix.

The following regions are excluded from receiving weekly episodes:

• The Netherlands
• Australia
• Argentina
• Brazil
• South Africa
• Mexico
• Sweden

These regions typically release new seasons exactly one year after series premieres. Netflix Australia launched Season 5 on February 17, 2021. New episodes began to air on February 16, 2020.

If that’s the case for season 6, you can expect it to drop on other regions listed above around March 6th, 2023.

Season 5 in Canada was created around 11 months ago. You can also expect season 5 to arrive late 2022, or even early 2023.

What time will Outlander Season 6 air on Netflix USA?

In May 2022, the United States and Israel received their fifth seasons.

As we’ve noted in previous schedules. Netflix US receives new seasons of Outlander exactly two years after they’ve wrapped up airing in the United States. That means that we’ll likely not see season 6 of Outlander on Netflix US until May 1st, 2024.

Why isn’t Outlander on Netflix UK?

Netflix, which is based in the United Kingdom, is one of the few regions that does not stream Outlander.

That’s because early on the streaming rights were sold to Amazon Prime Video where the show continues to stream as of the time of publishing.

We also have some good news for Outlander lovers. Starz is currently developing a prequel series. It is not known if this series will be available on Netflix. StarzPlay is growing all over the world, so Starz may decide to place it there, but Sony remains the owner.
