When will Season 7 of ‘Wentworth’ be on Netflix?

Wentworth Season 7 is finally available on Netflix in America. Other regions will follow soon. Here’s what we know about the new season of Wentworth and when season 7 of Wentworth is coming to Netflix.

There’s no doubt that the Australian prison drama is a must-watch for anyone with Netflix. The series draws a lot of similarities to Netflix’s Orange is the New Black but the truth is the two series have gone in two completely separate directions.

Wentworth is gritty and harsh prison drama with a lot of violence. Over the last few years, Netflix has been adding new seasons.

After the series wraps, it airs first on Foxtel Australia. Then the series is added to Netflix worldwide.

Will there be season 7?

Absolutely! The announcement of Season 7 came at the end of season 6, in April 2018, and was made public. It was clear that Foxtel would continue Wentworth's season 7 contract. Production began straight away which means there’s once again going to be a tight turnaround for release.

Season 7: What can you expect from Wentworth

Season 6 concluded with one of most intense and difficult endings. Season 6 culminated with the final showdown between Rita and Drago.

Also, the series was moving towards ending the interrogation of who allowed an inmate to escape. In season 7, a new top dog has taken over the prison so we’re likely to see big changes on the horizon. For one, we need to find out who’s going to be the new number 2 for Marie now that Drago is out of the picture.

Many fans now hope for Rita to fight The Freak.

What time will Season 7 Wentworth premiere on Netflix?

Despite a quick renewal for Wentworth season 7 by the shows new producers at Showcase, we’ve had to wait a year again but the time is nearly here. Wentworth season 7 will air on Australian television starting May 28th.

This series will have 10 episodes, which is a decrease from the previous 12 seasons.

Previous years have seen Netflix manage to release new Wentworth seasons within a week of the end. The series ended on September 4, and was available on Netflix as of September 9, 2017.

We were expecting the series to arrive on Netflix in August 2019 but we’ll be getting it ever so slightly sooner. It’s now been confirmed that season 7 of Wentworth will be on Netflix on July 31st, 2019.

Update, 07/31/2019: Season 7 has arrived on Netflix, despite arriving later than expected.

Netflix Canada is likely to get the series either in November 2019 or December 2019.

Netflix Australia and Netflix UK do not have the series.
