Will ‘Family Guy’ Come Back to Netflix?

Review Ethan / 2023-03-18 04:06:55

Unfortunately, we saw Family Guy completely leave Netflix back in February of 2018. This came after some of the newer seasons were removed from Netflix earlier in 2017. We will discuss why these seasons were deleted, when they will return and how you can stream them.

Before we get into whether the show will return to Netflix at any point in the future, we thought it would be a good idea to cover why the show was removed in the first place. The contract between Netflix, FOX and FOX wasn't renewed last year. Many FOX programs, including Family Guy, Futurama and American Dad, had to be cancelled. Netflix has faced criticism from the thousands of fans that enjoyed watching the FOX shows and the removal was a decisive blow for Netflix’s library, which seems to have been shrinking in recent years. Seth MacFarlane created the animated sitcom and it first aired in January 1999. The show follows the lives and adventures of the Griffen family, including the father Peter, the mother Lois and their three children Meg, Chris and Stewie. Of course, you can’t forget about the English-speaking dog of the family Brian. There are currently a total of 306 episodes that span and cover countless storylines and hilarious jokes. The show has won a total of 7 Primetime Emmys, although has received criticism about it being too similar to The Simpsons, despite a crossover episode in 2014.

You can stream Family Guy anywhere else in the US or UK.

For anyone living in the US, it isn’t all bad news. All 306 seasons (16 Seasons) of the show are currently available to stream live on Hulu. Although if you don’t have access to Hulu but do have a log-in for cable you can view the entire show on the official Fox website.

The situation is a bit more complex in the UK, where neither Hulu nor Fox websites are available. Amazon Video is a great way to access the series, but it can be quite expensive. You can also go to ITV Website to view the current episodes, but this option is limited.

Netflix: Will Family Guy Return?

Since Disney bought up Fox it is looking increasingly unlikely that Netflix will ever get the opportunity to renew the contract. With the potential for Disney to launch their own streaming service, this is especially concerning. Although it sounds terrible, we believe that Netflix has very little chance of Seth Macfarlane's animated series returning to Netflix.
