Catch 22 is Hulu’s latest biggest series and subsequently won’t be coming to Netflix in the US. Hulu doesn’t operate everywhere in the world so let’s take a look at its plans internationally and see whether Netflix is on the streaming agenda.
Hulu's mini-series will be available in May and features some of the best talent. This war comedy features Hugh Laurie and Kyle Chandler. It’s based on the Joseph Heller novel of the same name and by all measurements, it’s looking to be a smash hit for Hulu.
The series wasn’t always a Hulu Original and for many months it was being shopped around until January 2018 when Hulu announced it’d be taking on the distribution for the series.
Netflix streaming is not available in the US, which makes it easy to exclude this region. That’s because Hulu is a direct competitor to Netflix and like The Handmaid’s Tale, it’ll only be available to stream on Hulu.
Because Hulu doesn’t stream everywhere in the world, it’s a valid question to ask whether Netflix may pick it up elsewhere. Unfortunately, this is true in every region of the globe. Catch 22 managed to find alternate homes in nearly every region. Here are some of the headline countries of where it’ll be made available.
In the United Kingdom, Netflix won’t be getting the title. Instead, as with a few US imports as of late, it’ll be available on Channel 4. If you’re a streaming-only person, then you’ll have access to it through 4oD.
