Bulletproof, a British import is one of The CW's new premiere shows. Is season 1 on Netflix coming anywhere? Let’s take a look.
Noel Clarke stars alongside Ashley Walters in the new series. It's a crime drama similar to Bodyguard. Set in London, it’s about two cops chasing down criminals in the crime-ridden East End. The second season has been approved.
This series, unlike other content such as Riverdale and Supernatural, is not produced or distributed by The CW. Instead, it’s one of the many imports that The CW gets. Bulletproof is imported from Sky and the UK. It’s distributed by a company called Sky Vision which is owned by Comcast.
You may have heard that Netflix terminated its production deal with The CW in January and Bulletproof was created after this cut-off. Sadly, even if it was in the cut-off time period it still wouldn’t have been covered by The CW output deal.
Instead, it’s unlikely Netflix will get the series in the United States. Instead, the series is only available The CW app and CW’s service called CW Seed. That’s likely where the series will remain for the near future.
As the series comes from Sky originally, it won’t be on Netflix UK either. Sky offers NowTV, a streaming service that streams the series exclusively.
The series is only available on Foxtel Now in Australia. This means that there's no Netflix coming to Australia.
Netflix may be interested in the series, which is currently not being sold in Canada. Nowadays, however, we’re finding Netflix is picking up titles on a global level as opposed to individual regions so you probably shouldn’t get your hopes up.
